Poems of The Inner Spark

These are poems from my book.

Broken Skulls

As I take to my routine

I make my way to the basement

In the basement there are skulls

I have been collecting them since I was thirteen

As I make my way through them

I find a bottle

It is full of blood

I go upstairs to call my friend Jim

As I call

I hear noise above me

There is helicopters circling my house

I hear pounding down the hall

It is a man that I captured

As I decide what to do I wait

I wait till all is calm

As I make my way down the hall

I remember the man’s hand is ruptured

I open the door

I see the man is still blind

I let him go

I vow to do this no more
