Filled with Love!
This poem was written with a childhood memory in mind. Some of you may be able to relate. Someday I hope to take a photo of this memory. I’ll be writing another entry soon that goes with this. I hope you are moved in some way, taking the lesson that lies within it, and applying it to your song…..
A teddy bear. A smile from afar. A song of dedication. A wish upon a star.
The gathering of family. A tender word to melt the pain. Memories of yesterday. Must have seeped into the drain.
Visions of the rustic barn where we’d fearlessly play. Destined for a place in history. Yet not good enough to display.
Stripped of her identity when she thought she knew. Constantly searching for the truth revealed in you.
Painting a blank tapestry of a lost life. Erasing the foundations that decorated her with strife.
